Future Innovations

Basketball star LeBron James is currently featured as the new face for Nike

Nike unveiled future business plans in May about where Nike will be in the coming years.

-Nike intends to grow its business from $19.2 billion to $27 billion by 2015
-Nike will target the emerging global middle class, leverage itself with digital media (NikeID) and create better in-store retail experiences.
-One of Nike's most popular merges with technology is the Nike + iPod
A computer chip is placed in the shoe that connects to the iPod (nano) and syncs with running times, play lists, and mile counts.

Nike's true obstacles of success
-Recovering from the "anti Nike" campaigns from the use of sweat shops
-Bringing back the days of being a "hip" brand with the popularity of the Air Jordan and domination in the sports apparel industry.
-Keeping contracts with major college universities and athletic teams (Ohio State, Alabama, Florida to name a few)

I believe Nike should continue its goal to make its brand more personable and user friendly.
Visitors of Nike.com can visit blogs from athletes or everyday runners who discuss their Nike products, running techniques, and share tips and advice between runners.

Whether the look is classic

Or unique
Nike is a brand that symbolizes the way America does sports, and plans to be around for all the new sports playing generations.
